this post is typed in bits and pieces from friday night till today

each person will be given 10 votes this tuesday to choose the 10 nominees which he/she feels should be part of the 35th student council. this means that the 10 nominees with the most number of votes in the faculty will be elected into council, while the remaining 10 of the 50 available slots in council will be decided by the percentile of votes the nominees received from their faculty across all four faculties.

there definitely is competition in Athena, there's no clear cut which 10 will definitely make it into council. however, i personally feel that there are individuals who undoubtedly deserve a place in council and some who most probably stand no chance to make it into council ><

its a statement that most have to agree with...
certain groups will definitely be able to increase their chances by a large margin if they had put more effort into their campaigning and vice versa

hmmm, most of the videos from the athenian campaign groups were really nice
personally like K.O.'s and Running For Council's the most. their effects were really well done and the ideas used in the videos were kinda unique
but teleportation was seriously overused, most videos have scenes of people teleporting here and there

kinda messed up on the one minute speech part >< although some said it was okkk but i didn't really feel that it was haha. oh well it's over now and i'm kinda lazy to type out what i wanted to say initially. it's something similar to what i've posted at the start of March

" a better portfolio and other motives are driving some out there to run for council. surely, there will be these sort of people, that's how the real world is, materialistic. not everyone will do things without knowing there will be benefits. however, we mustn't forget the dedicated ones out there who are truly certain about their decision to run. it isn't entirely about showing support for your friends who are running for council, there's also a need to pick out the right people who deserve to be voted in. open your eyes people, and take a good look at who the person really is before making your decision a month later.

going up on stage, telling everyone that you have the passion to serve the school, believing that you're able to make a change isn't really quite enough. i mean, if you're really that passionate and driven to get into council, you'll put in all you've got during the campaigning period, making sure that the campaigning and video done by your group is the best you guys are capable of. from how i see it, some groups aren't doing so, the sincerity just isn't clearly shown. i admit that Freshly Baked's guilty of this as well, i'm certain that not every member of the group is giving his all over the past couple of weeks. furthermore, the effort that some nominees from other groups have put into the whole campaigning process is certainly commendable.

Athenians, and everyone else from the other faculties, choose the correct people...

it isn't really some imba video even though i took that long =/
its done only with windows movie maker haha...
could have been much better with nicer visual effects and sounds
but i still feel really satisfied with it =D

crap Freshly Baked is seriously lagging behind other groups already. arghhhh
banner and posters aren't done and we've not gotten everything we need... attempted to get the video onto the com at alvin's house today but it turns out that his wire can't be plugged into my videocam. so that means that the earliest we can get the video onto the com is maybe monday or even tuesday. probably will have to ask for an extension of deadline for the video, or maybe not sleep for a day or something.

haven't been updating since thurs cos i'm like chao tired when i get home at 12.30am for the past 2 nights ><

anyway, went to study physics on thursday with three others. actually, it was more of a physics practical rather than a tutorial. involves 4 parties at once requires quite a bit of thinking also. maybe some luck as well. the physics practical was titled "Mahjong" and we studied the physics of this topic for at least 5 hours =O

Freshly Baked had its first meeting to discuss about our ideas and all yesterday morning. we've settled on a few dates and now we're soooo looking forward to carrying out these plans =D if you are wondering what's that, its my council group name. haha.

this is definitely not a 2/5 star movie lor !
its really cool and touching, especially the letter written after they met 12 years ago.
although the whole story is about a really rare occurrence, so rare its almost like a fairytale that could never possibly take place, its still really cool dating over 12 years =D
meeting only 3 times in 12 years, once every 4 years, that's really special.

don't think this movie will be around for much longer, probably another week or two only, so go catch it fast ! =]

helped out at this pre-school/primary school story telling competition this morning, haven't been to such events for... for... don't know how many years already. the pre-school winner, the only boy for the category, is like really cute haha. yeah, besides him being quite a highlight for the whole event, there were also some rather nice stories and some that totally can't be understood. oh oh, and there's also some story about Mas Selar or some character like that.
kj and i figured that he might actually be related to Mas Selemat =O [someone suddenly had to cross legs on the chair and totally ka there after hearing this, too frightening zomg]
oh yeah, and one of the in-charge for this event is actually a grand senior from 06s6e haha. its like totally interesting listening to his stories about entering hcjc 2 years back. all the retarded things that hc guys did [and still doing] and negative comments about the uniforms of certain ~~girl~~ schools, absolutely entertaining. oh well...

that's about all i guess, the rest of saturday was just the usual thingy at touch bendeemer club, just that its more fun today. yup.

ok actually its already wayyyyyy after 12am when i post this, but still, happy seventeen birthday woonyang !

facebook and hotmail is currently hanging on me >=/
can't load them even though i tried refreshing them so many times
and the loading process for both will always seem to stop at the same mid-way point everytime. actually its not even half way. argh.
i'm being barred from stoning at the facebook home page and verifying an e-mail
probably this is the internet's method of reminding me, and at the same time stopping me, from using the laptop.
laptop: "hey i need a break dude !"
[woots, facebook just loaded, but it just ka-ed again...]
i remember saying this yesterday, "i'll be mugging maths tomorrow"
but all i calculated today was the time to attack, how much the items will cost and how to stay alive, all in an assignment called dota that took away my whole afternoon
crap...

i'm so gonna kill myself if i don't start tomorrow. well, at least i got most of the script done today. =]

the most interesting thing that happened on friday has gotta be me getting te-bammed by jacky during tkd haha
a white belt sparring against a black belt, couldn't even match up lor
butttt i wanna spar again !

speaking of the upcoming future, we mustn't forget about the past either

hey look at the time !
i'm like lying on my bed, using my laptop now haha
something really scary happened just now
my sharingan began bleeding this morning and i was screaming that's what i didn't go to school
really freaky, bloody, red...
scared the hell outta everyone

don't feel shocked or anything, cos that's not true haha
my eyes just felt kinda pain this morn, similarly to how it did during training yesterday, so i decided to jump back onto my bed and wait for the clinic to open
doctor said that i'm hit by conjunctivitis =O
glad that i didn't spread it to any of you guys over the past week, phewww
but my eyes are already recovering by themselves according to him also, haha
so i can't really figure why i only feel pain yesterday and earlier just now since they're getting better already
they were alot redder for the past few days as compared to now, almost back to normal already
booooo, i'm losing my sharingan =X

frisbee training rocks, 12 new j1s joined in today
learnt alot during the games we played. tactics, teamwork, points to work on and also my own errors.
first time being in a competitive and fast paced sports CCA, get really thrilled during the games, really hyped
but i think i tend to get kinda commanding and rash, yeah, gotta curb these problems
so hope you'll be with me if i happen to be like that
and 2.4 and shutter run sure improve haha xD

ideal situations aren't common, not that they do not exist, its probably just that they aren't that frequent
would also take some luck to find yourself in one
my ideal group would be four individuals who are committed, determined and capable, a group who will be able to show that faculty that we are so through our actions during campaigning
i guess most aspiring councillors will also be hoping for something similar to this
felt that i would be in this ideal situation initially, but this feeling has been beginning to die out since sometime last week...
so yeah, even though the other two guys in my group have decided to forgo running for council, i'm still determined to go for it, even if it i've gotta run by myself in the end
which i don't think will happen, and i'm seriously hope that it won't, cos there'll definitely be alot less fun involved in running solo as compared to running as a team
the feeling's not dead yet !
might be joining into one of the 6n teams, but i don't really know who they are as of now -__-
crap...

be happy about the things you have and not be unhappy because of things you do not have
running with new faces will be a different kind of experience, fun as well i guess
and if i can't work well with new people, i suck haha
how will i deserve to be part of council with such capabilities?
